With a fundraising goal in the billions of dollars for their upcoming centennial in 2019, I was asked to help craft an integrated digital strategy to engage students, donors and the surrounding community with the focus on donations. It started with a review of existing touch points, programs and affected departments and quickly grew to include brand development and interactive strategy for the entire University. One of the most far-reaching projects was an interactive style guide for all digital creative assets, which became a complete online resource used throughout the UC system. One of the initial steps toward increased donation was awareness of the UCLA Foundation and its purview. A new and more expansive annual report was created for this purpose and was complimented by an online version that reached a larger audience with awareness increasing over 180% among students and donors.
